Paul Walter Hauser wore a pin at the Resident Evil premiere to draw attention to a mystery surrounding Jeffrey Epstein. Hauser said the pin was intended to raise awareness about something in connection with the infamous financier and trafficker.
While speaking with reporters at the premiere, Hauser revealed that his pin was meant to raise awareness of Zorro Ranch in New Mexico. A white circle pin against his black T-shirt featured the ranch’s coordinates. “It was at one point owned by Jeffrey Epstein,” the actor revealed, while also discussing what happened to the property after Epstein’s death.
Explaining the history of the ranch, Hauser said, “It’s shrouded in mystery, and then a church supposedly bought it, which is even more disconcerting, I think.”
The message behind Hauser’s conversation-starting accessory
Hauser has been urging his Hollywood colleagues to speak out about the release of the Epstein files, particularly criticizing what he described as their silence regarding people named in it.
In February, he took to Instagram to air his frustration, writing, “Where are you now? Where are your voices and your hashtags now? Do you fear job loss? Death? Fear God. And protect children. And grow up. I don’t take my Emmy and Golden Globe with me when I die. The U-Haul truck will not follow the hearse in the funeral motorcade.”
Explaining why he was wearing the pin, Hauser revealed that he wanted “to bring awareness to evil people who are surreptitious and need to have a little Google search done on them.”
Fans online have also drawn attention to his T-shirt, which was emblazoned with the words “Kubrick Didn’t Kill Himself.” The shirt referenced a conspiracy theory surrounding the death of 2001: A Space Odyssey director Stanley Kubrick. He passed away from a heart attack, but some conspiracy theorists believe that his death occurred under different circumstances.
