
Hong Kong is rolling out a series of discounts, shopping perks, giveaways and countless deals to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the city’s return to Chinese sovereignty on July 1.

1. Someone mentioned food?
Restaurants are taking the latest anniversary to heart with a 29 per cent discount or special deals on selected menu items this Wednesday.
Multiple brands under the Tai Hing Group – including Tai Hing, Men Wah Bing Teng and Asam Chicken Rice – will offer a 29 per cent discount on all dine-in bills throughout the day.
Other chains are offering a 29 per cent discount on select special dishes for the day or the period around it. At Cafe de Coral, any two orders of its winter melon soup dinner combo for two people will go for HK$99.
At Spaghetti House, patrons can enjoy a 29 per cent discount when ordering any pizza or spaghetti dish throughout the day.
