For those unfamiliar with the plot, Powell, as Russ Holliday, disguises himself as Chad Powers to walk onto a struggling Southern football team. The series was intentionally built to end on a cliffhanger. Both seasons wrapped with just six half-hour episodes, leaving fans wanting more.
As of now, Chad Powers spans 12 episodes across 2 seasons, with no premiere date announced for the next season. Hulu hasn’t officially greenlit Season 3 yet, though co-creators Michael Waldron and Glen Powell have both said they want to continue the story. In a recent interview with The Wrap, Waldron discussed Chad Powers and addressed the possibility of a third season.
When asked about a follow-up season with the “Twisters” actor, Waldron pointed out that the Season 2 ending “sets up a lot of different threads.” He also revealed that Chad Powers was conceived as a “three-season story.” The “Loki” creator shared that he’s eager to return and wrap up the story, though Powell has “a ton going on” with a busy schedule.
In the meantime, viewers can stream all 12 episodes of Chad Powers on Hulu and Disney+.
