UEFA Women’s Champions League: Who plays today, Tuesday, Sep. 22? How to watch on TV and stream online

While most of the men are off on international duty, European club soccer returns with a bang on Tuesday as the 2026-27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase begins, with five games spread across two kickoff windows.

What is the format of the Women’s Champions League?

This is the second season of the competition’s 18-team league phase. Each club plays six different opponents, three at home and three away, before the top four advance directly to the quarterfinals. Teams finishing fifth to 12th head into the knockout playoffs.

And there is plenty to watch on opening night, particularly for fans of English and Spanish soccer.

What Women’s Champions League games are on today?

Tuesday’s action begins at 12:45 p.m. ET (9:45 a.m. PT), with two games. German champion Bayern Munich hosts Manchester City, which is making its first appearance in the new league-phase format, while Inter makes its league-phase debut at home to Swedish club Häcken.

Three more games follow at 3 p.m. ET (noon PT). Arsenal, European champion in 2024-25, welcomes Danish side HB Køge, while Juventus takes on Benfica in Turin.

Perhaps the pick of that later window is in the Spanish capital, where Real Madrid hosts Paris Saint-Germain at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Madrid qualified by eliminating Ajax, while PSG arrives looking for a much better European campaign after failing to win any of its six league-phase games last season.

How can I watch the Women’s Champions League in the US?

For U.S. viewers, Paramount+ is the main destination for English-language coverage, with all five of Tuesday’s games available to stream. Bayern-Manchester City and Arsenal-HB Køge will also be shown on CBS Sports Network, while Inter-Häcken and Real Madrid-PSG are scheduled for CBS Sports Golazo Network.

There is also Spanish-language coverage. ESPN Deportes will show Bayern-Manchester City and Arsenal-HB Køge, while Inter-Häcken, Real Madrid-PSG and Juventus-Benfica will be available on ESPN+. All games are also available through the ESPN App for ESPN Unlimited subscribers.

The girls of Barcelona, the defending champions after beating OL Lyonnes 4-0 in last season’s final, will have to wait another 24 hours. Their title defense begins on Wednesday against Paris FC, one of four games completing Matchday 1.
