Pars Today – China’s representative to the World Trade Organization has criticized the U.S. government as a factor weakening the multilateral trade system and called on American officials to comply with the rules of this international body.
China’s mission to the World Trade Organization stated that Beijing regards the United States as a violator of multilateral commitments and a factor undermining the credibility of the global trade system, arguing that it distorts international trade norms. According to Pars Today, the statement added that the U.S., through trade bullying and double standards in industrial policy, is weakening the multilateral trading system.
The United States examines the trade landscape through policies such as the “Buy American” initiative, discriminatory measures in global cooperation, export controls and sanctions, investment disclosure requirements, intellectual property rules, tariffs and non-tariff barriers, as well as industrial and agricultural subsidies.
Gharibabadi: Iran, Russia, China to announce official end of UNSC Resolution 2231
Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, emphasized that Iran, Russia, and China will jointly send a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council to announce the official end of Resolution 2231. He added that at the Non-Aligned Movement foreign ministers’ meeting, more than 121 countries stressed that the resolution should be formally concluded.
Gharibabadi stated that Iran insists the sanctions reinstated by the U.S. and Europe through the so-called “snapback” mechanism have no legal legitimacy, and UN member states are not obligated to enforce them. He emphasized that with the end of the resolution, Iran’s status under the International Atomic Energy Agency will also change, and going forward, the IAEA Director-General will no longer be required to report on the JCPOA.
Japanese youth imitate Al-Qassam Brigades
According to IRNA, some young Japanese individuals have attracted public attention by wearing the clothing and uniforms of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). During the two-year war, several children also expressed their interest in these figures by imitating the speaking style of Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Obaida and reenacting the combat movements of Martyr Yahya Sinwar, head of Hamas’s political bureau.
In one of the published images, a young Japanese man is seen wearing attire similar to that of the Al-Qassam fighters, fully immersed in his role—a striking image that illustrates how deeply he has understood the character and spirit of the resistance fighters. Observers have interpreted this image as a symbol of the transnational impact of the resistance’s message.
South Korea deploys new missile system on border with North
South Korea, which heavily relies on the support of U.S. troops stationed on its soil for defense against North Korea, now plans to counter its northern neighbor by deploying the Hyunmoo-5 missile. Ahn Gyu-back, South Korea’s Defense Minister, announced that as a retaliatory measure against North Korea and under the framework of a “balance of terror” in response to Pyongyang’s nuclear threats, Seoul will begin deploying the Hyunmoo-5 missiles—nicknamed “the Monster”—along the border by the end of this year.
