Kin Shriner, who plays Scott Baldwin, recently addressed his absence from General Hospital on social media. He hasn’t appeared on the show since 2024. However, last month, Scott’s daughter Serena did provide an update on the whereabouts of her dad and how he has been doing.

Shriner took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to a fan query about his return. The fan wrote, “shame on GH… they should be banging down your door, after all you have contributed to the success of GH… smh.” To this, Shriner replied, “I don’t fit in there.”
The final episode that Scott Baldwin appeared in saw him encourage Clement to escape to avoid the wrath of Sonny. This is because Clement was involved in tampering with Sonny’s bipolar medication. Before this, he told him that they were going to Spoon Island. Ahead of their journey, he went on to take some snacks to carry.
However, before he was back, Jason Morgan had already caught up with Clement. Scott returns to the warehouse and learns that Jason confronted Clement, which prompts him to run from the place. Later, he calls Ava and FBI Agent John Cates to inform them about Clement’s situation.
Last month, Scott’s daughter, Serena, came back to Port Charles, where she had an emotional reunion with her mother Lucy and her best friend, Felicia Scorpio. When Felicia asked about Scott, she said that her father is living his best life in Key West. She further added that he has been spending time doing “kayaking and hunting for the best key lime pie.”
Shriner had been a part of the show since 1977. Since then, he had been on-and-off from the show several times. However, his recent absence appears to be certain. He is active on social media and often engages with fans on topics about his personal or professional life.
