Offering up nutritious, fresh food with an emphasis on convenience, the new-to-Bellevue purpose-driven café Sano wants to make eating delicious, good-for-you meals an everyday habit.
To-go items include organic signature açaí bowls, superfood smoothies, protein-powered boxes with ingredients such as wild salmon or grass-fed beef, and hearty toasts heaped with fresh hummus and veggies. Nearly 80% of Sano’s items are made in-house, including salad dressings, protein bites, flavor syrups, and plant-based milks.
If the attention to health-consciousness makes you assume the menu was put together by a health expert or someone adjacent, you’d be right: A certified nutritionist helped design the menu. The Mercer Island-founded Sano’s recently opened Bellevue location, with cafés in Kirkland and Redmond to follow, promotes an ethos of locally sourced, mindful eating, as well as a minimized eco-footprint with compostable and recycling-friendly packaging for its to-go items.
