Ruby Rose is competing on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 5, bringing her past allegations against Katy Perry back into the spotlight. New comments from Rose appearing to pertain to the subject have now surfaced via the show.
Ruby Rose says past harm made her ‘very, very good’ at reading people
During the premiere of Season 5 of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, contestant Oliver Hudson briefly mentioned the dispute between Katy Perry and Ruby Rose.
Rose opened up about difficult experiences and explained how those experiences changed the way she reads people. She said, “I am very, very good at seeing through people. After everything that has harmed me in the past, I might sit and go, ‘Oh, there’s something here I don’t trust’” (via EW).
Rose previously alleged Perry sexually assaulted her in 2010. She says the alleged incident happened at a Melbourne club. The allegations gained renewed attention during 2026. She also said she reported the allegations to authorities.
Victoria Police previously confirmed that law enforcement became involved. Katy Perry’s representatives have strongly denied the allegations and called the claims “dangerous, reckless lies.”
Rose has previously discussed the alleged incident publicly. According to Rose, the alleged experience had a lasting impact. She had also criticized Perry online in 2017, saying bullying should be held accountable.
The premiere episode of the new season of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test also saw Rose discussing her experiences regarding an injury that she sustained when filming the DC series Batwoman after appearing in the Arrowverse TV crossover event titled “Elseworlds.” Rose played Kate Kane / Batwoman in the CW series but departed after its first season. The show continued for another two seasons without Rose and with a new lead character taking up the mantle of Batwoman in Kate Kane’s absence.
