Premier League final day permutations
Race for Europe
- Aston Villa: Unai Emery’s side has already qualified for the Champions League by clinching a top-five finish – and by winning the Europa League. Villa can clinch fourth place by avoiding defeat at Man City.
- Liverpool: The Reds only need a point against Brentford to clinch a Champions League spot.
- Bournemouth: The Cherries have clinched a European berth and have an outside chance of reaching the Champions League.
- Brighton: Victory against Manchester United would clinch a Europa League spot at least and give the Seagulls an outside chance at the Champions League. But defeat could see Brighton completely miss Europe.
- Chelsea: Defeat against Sunderland would see Chelsea miss Europe entirely, but a win could see the Blues finish seventh and qualify for the Europa League.
- Brentford: The Bees face Liverpool and need to better Chelsea’s result against Sunderland to finish in a Conference League spot.
- Sunderland: The Black Cats must beat Chelsea and get help elsewhere to qualify for Europe.
Relegation battle
- Tottenham: Spurs will avoid relegation with a win against Everton and likely a draw due to its vastly superior goal differential over West Ham. Tottenham will also be safe no matter what if West Ham fails to beat Leeds.
- West Ham: Survival is simple for the Hammers: beat Leeds and hope Tottenham loses to Everton.
