With its immersive redesign and expanded product offering, the Lego store adds fresh energy to Hong Kong International Airport’s retail landscape as international travel continues to rebound

HONG KONG, CHINA. China Duty Free Group (CDFG) has unveiled a revamped Lego store at Hong Kong International Airport on 23 June.

Located on the Terminal 1 Departure Level, the Lego Certified Store features an extensive visual and spatial redesign, bringing together creativity, play and local cultural elements to enhance the airport’s retail landscape.

The refreshed concept also showcases CDFG’s travel retail expertise at the key regional gateway while reflecting Lego’s commitment to inspiring creativity.

Among the standout features is an immersive 3D Lego installation inspired by Hong Kong, with the famed Victoria Harbour skyline providing the backdrop.

Reflecting the city’s vibrant shopping and food culture, the display depicts a giant 3D Lego figure savouring crispy egg waffles beside a life-sized Lego shopping bag bearing the message ‘I Love HK’. The installation is designed to become both a popular photo spot and an eye-catching retail destination for travellers.

Capturing the spirit of Hong Kong in Lego bricks, the eye-catching installation invites travellers to pause, snap a photo and create lasting memories of the destination

The refreshed store features an extensive range of Lego products, supported by CDFG’s global supply chain and premium travel retail merchandising.

Standout offerings include sports-themed collectables such as the Lego Editions Soccer Ball and the FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, tapping into global football momentum while showcasing Lego’s craftsmanship.

China Duty Free International General Manager Giovanna Dou said, “Partnering with the Lego Group allows us to offer something truly special to travellers at Hong Kong International Airport.

“The store perfectly reflects Hong Kong’s charm as a dynamic metropolis and provides a memorable shopping experience for all visitors. We are excited about the possibilities this collaboration presents for the future, and we look forward to exploring further international business opportunities together.”

Lego Group General Manager, Singapore, Malaysia, and Travel Retail Asia Pacific Nina Patricia Da Costa added, “We’re excited to bring the Lego travel store back to Hong Kong, a city that perfectly encapsulates the creativity and vibrancy that Lego stands for.

“We look forward to offering travellers a unique shopping experience that celebrates both the Lego brand and Hong Kong’s unique culture. This is just the beginning, and we’re thrilled about future opportunities to expand and innovate.”
