Alfredo Pedulla has poured cold water on reports connecting Dodo with a move from Fiorentina to Roma, insisting no such negotiation exists.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, via FirenzeViola, the transfer journalist was pointed in dismissing suggestions that the two clubs had opened talks over the full-back in the wake of Zeki Celik’s departure to Juventus.
“Those who spoke of negotiations being set up between Fiorentina and Roma to take Dodo after Celik’s exit, none of this is true to me,” Pedulla said. “There are no negotiations and there is no interest. I trusted Fiorentina, who said the opposite of what actually happened, and it wasn’t very nice.”

Dodo still set to leave Fiorentina despite Roma denial
While ruling out the Roma link, Pedulla was clear that the Brazilian’s Fiorentina future remains in doubt. “Roma are not on Dodo. The Brazilian is on his way out of Fiorentina,” he added.
“Napoli have tested the ground, there are offers from abroad, but the situation can change at any moment.”
The comments sharpen a picture that has been building for weeks. Dodo has made no secret of his desire to move on, with Fiorentina holding out for around €15 million for a player whose contract runs to 2027, and Napoli have been among the more persistent domestic admirers.
Roma’s name had surfaced earlier in the window, only for the interest to be described as fading, and Pedulla has now closed that door firmly, even as suitors elsewhere continue to circle.
