Liverpool have made contact with RB Leipzig over the potential signing of winger Yan Diomande.
Sky Sports News understands that no offer has been made but the club have made their interest known.
It was previously been reported that the Ivory Coast international is being considered as an option by other clubs in England, including both Manchester sides.
Sky in Germany reported in April that he is also target for Bayern Munich and PSG but Leipzig are keen for him to sign a new deal.
Diomande has already spoken of interest in joining PSG, telling French news outlet Telefoot 1: “It would be a pleasure to play [in Ligue 1], with one of the biggest clubs.
“It’s always a pleasure to play in France in the past. I don’t think the adaptation to French football would be difficult. So why not?
“But after all, I’m a RB Leipzig player.”
Asked if he was happy to see PSG win back-to-back Champions Leagues, he said: “Yes, because my dad supports PSG. So it was great for me to see them win.”
And asked if he would like to play for PSG, Diomande replied: “Yeah, I like them a lot.”
