The judge assigned to Mark Sanchez’s case has recused herself, according to the IndyStar.

Judge Jennifer Prinz Harrison made the request in paperwork filed with the Marion County Clerk’s office on Tuesday, October 14.

According to the IndyStar, Harrison has previously been criticized for her leniency towards defendants accused of violent crimes.

Judge James B. Osborn will now preside over Sanchez’s legal proceedings.

The former Jets quarterback, 38, has pleaded not guilty to all charges — including one for felony battery — in connection with an alleged altercation with truck driver Perry Tole, 69, in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, October 4.

Both men were hospitalized following the incident, and Tole filed a civil lawsuit against the Fox Sports commentator on Monday, October 6, accusing him of “appearing intoxicated” when he allegedly “instigated” the fight that left Tole with “severe permanent disfigurement.”

Sanchez’s first pretrial hearing in Osborn’s court has been scheduled for October 22.
