Far Cry casts a huge Emmy Winner for its upcoming show. The TV series recently announced that the actress from Netflix’s Zero Day would join the cast. As production is still under wraps, more casting news can be expected.
Who has been cast in the Far Cry TV show?
The video game-based TV show has begun building its cast, with the latest addition being Emmy-winning actor Steve Buscemi, as per Variety.
Buscemi will take on a role in the upcoming TV show based on the hit video game franchise alongside Rob Mac, the show’s co-creator. Additionally, Lizzy Caplan was previously cast for the show.
The Emmy winner is well known for playing Carl Showalter in the 1996 crime thriller Fargo. He is also known for his collaborations with the Coen brothers on The Big Lebowski and Miller’s Crossing. His other movies include Reservoir Dogs, Ghost World, The Death of Stalin, Grown Ups, and Armageddon.
He has also directed and appeared in the HBO hit show The Sopranos, which earned him two Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. Moreover, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for Park Bench with Steve Buscemi.

That said, the role Buscemi will play is still under wraps. There is not much detail on the show’s plot or synopsis either, as it’s still in pre-production.
However, the TV show will follow an anthology format like the video games. It will also feature a different setting and cast each season. The Ubisoft video game was first released in 2004. Far Cry 6 is the most recent entry in the franchise, released in 2021.
The show’s creators, Mac and Noah Hawley, will serve as executive producers along with Emilia Serrano, Nick Frenkel, Jackie Cohn, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill. The Far Cry series will air globally on FX, Hulu, and Disney+. However, it does not yet have a release date.
