The Angry Birds Movie 3 just dropped a hilarious Dune-inspired poster on social media. The artwork gives fans an unexpected sci-fi crossover with Denis Villeneuve’s third space opera film.
The official Angry Birds Movie account shared the parody artwork on X, captioning it simply, “Dune it again.” The promotional image shows Red wearing black desert goggles, a nose plug like the one Zendaya wears in the film. It also contains the words “Across my face”, a playful take on Dune’s iconic marketing style. Even the title feels reminiscent of Dune’s title branding, right down to a “Filmed for Flymax” tag standing in for IMAX.
The crossover is simply promotional material rather than an actual crossover between the two iconic franchises. Still, the parody image quickly grabbed the attention of fans across both films.

Based on the popular mobile game series, the threequel continues the beloved animated franchise following the success of its predecessors.
The film’s synopsis, per Rotten Tomatoes, reads, “This holiday season, one angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet, surviving fatherhood… while saving the world!” Paramount unveiled the first trailer at CinemaCon, showing Red’s attempt to manage the chaos brought on by his three children.
Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride are reprising voice roles as Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb, respectively. They are joined by new cast including Walker Scobell, Keke Palmer, Sam Richardson, Emma Myers, Marcello Hernandez, Tim Robinson, Lily James among others.
John Rice directs the animated sequel, while Thurop Van Orman, who directed The Angry Birds Movie 2, penned the script. John Cohen, Dan Chuba, Carla Connor, and Namit Malhotra produce the 96-minute film.
The film is produced by Rovio, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios, with DNEG Animation handling the storyboards, art development, and animation.
Angry Birds Movie 3 is set to release in theaters on December 23, 2026, distributed by Paramount Pictures.
