Days of Our Lives secured Franco LoPresti to play Dante Vitali. The show didn’t disclose many details about the character or what twist he could add to the existing storylines. The only thing that is known is that he’s a cousin of Ava Vitali and that their family is linked to the mafia.
Franco LoPresti joins Days of Our Lives cast
LoPresti, best known for playing Cliff Marleau in Heated Rivalry, has been added to the Days of Our Lives cast. He will debut as Dante Vitali on September 14, 2026. The news about LoPresti’s casting was confirmed by Deadline.
Apart from being a Vitali family member, he’s also associated with Sami Brady, who, during her 2025 visit, claimed she had gotten engaged to Dante. She first informed one of her ex-husbands, Lucas Horton, of this big news. This happened when he spotted her wearing a big ring.
She later disclosed it to EJ DiMera, who wasn’t happy and objected to her choice of partner. EJ asked her if she was out of her mind to get associated with a person whose family is involved with the mafia. However, Sami assured him that Dante had nothing to do with the dangerous side of the family. She said that Dante resided in Italy and that they hadn’t set a wedding date yet. In response, EJ replied that he doubts she’ll make it down the aisle in this relationship. It should be noted that Sami won’t be present for Dante’s appearance on Days of Our Lives.
Before achieving massive fame through Heated Rivalry, LoPresti has been part of several entertainment projects, including Chucky, Workin’ Moms, Christmas Time Capsule, One More Time, Christmas Cookbook, Hudson & Rex, and Tracker, among many others. Recently, he played Eric Randall in Crossroad Springs.
