The airline said on Friday that its daily passenger flights to Dubai would be postponed until October 25, while its four weekly services to Riyadh would be delayed to October 26.
Earlier this month, the airline said it planned to resume passenger services to the two destinations on September 1, following signs of de-escalation under a preliminary peace deal between the United States and Iran.
In a statement on Friday, the carrier said: “In view of the latest developments in the Middle East, Cathay has taken the decision to postpone the resumption of its passenger and freighter services to the region.
“Affected travellers will be offered the flexibility to rebook, reroute or refund their tickets.”

It also announced it would drop its previous plan to resume freighter services to Riyadh from August 1, without specifying a new resumption date.
