Mark your calendars for the big games

Check out when the big matches will be played in Serie A next season, with Inter, Juventus, Milan, Napoli, Roma and high-flying Como facing off.

The draw was made today for the 2026-27 campaign, with a ceremony at the Teatro Regio in Parma.

The season runs from the weekend of August 22, 2026 to the weekend of May 30, 2027.

Inter are fresh from lifting the Serie A trophy for the 2025-26 season, and already we are looking ahead to who will challenge to take over, or if the Nerazzurri will make it two in a row.

Napoli, Roma and Como completed the top four and qualified for the Champions League, but both Juventus and Milan missed out, so will be desperate to get back into the leading places.

There are also fallen giants like Lazio and Atalanta who will be aiming higher than mid-table next time.

When are the Serie A Big Games?

Week 3 already throws us into the deep end with a series of big matches, as Inter vs. Napoli, Juventus vs. Milan and Roma vs. Atalanta are all early clashes.

Roma vs. Inter and Juventus vs. Atalanta are on Week 5 on the weekend of September 20, while Juventus-Lazio and Milan-Atalanta are in Week 7 around October 18.

The Derby del Sud between Napoli and Roma is in Week 8, October 25, but Week 10 around November 1 provides a double header of Juventus vs. Napoli and the Derby della Madonnina between Milan and Inter.

The Derby della Capitale between Lazio and Roma is in Week 15, the same round as Napoli vs. Milan, in the environs of December 13.

Roma vs. Juventus and Atalanta vs. Napoli are in Week 16, but the final round of the first half of the season has Juventus vs. Torino and Lazio vs. Inter in Week 18.

That is a midweek Serie A round on January 6, which is a public holiday in Italy.

The reverse fixtures go straight back into it with Inter vs. Juventus and Roma vs. Milan around January 10.

Milan vs. Juventus and Napoli vs. Inter are both in Week 22, around the weekend of January 31.

The second Milan Derby and Napoli vs. Juventus are both in Serie A Week 24, around Valentine’s Day and sure to set hearts aflutter.

Juventus and Roma face off in Turin around March 7, the Torino-Juventus showdown follows around April 4, then Inter vs. Roma on the weekend of April 11.

Week 32 is another big one, including Milan vs. Napoli and Roma vs. Lazio around April 18.

There will be late fireworks in Serie A Week 34 on May 2 with Como vs. Inter, Roma vs. Napoli, Atalanta vs. Juventus, and Milan vs. Lazio.

Going into the final three, Juventus vs. Inter is the Derby d’Italia on May 16, the same weekend as Milan vs. Roma.

The penultimate round has Roma vs. Como and Inter vs. Lazio, but the season ends with Napoli vs. Atalanta and a tricky Inter trip to Sassuolo.
