Kris Jenner‘s 70th birthday bash at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s mansion reportedly was a busy night for the Beverly Hills Police Department.
According to TMZ, police were dispatched to Bezos and Sánchez’s $165 million Beverly Hills estate during the November 8 party after nearby residents complained about how loud the A-list celebration was.
The noise from the star-studded party, which included a live performance from Bruno Mars, was “off the charts” according to an insider. Police reportedly spoke with security and issued a warning that the event was in violation of California law, which prohibits excessive noise in residential areas after 10 pm.
Later, police reportedly returned to the premises to address large decorative hedges that were blocking off the street outside Bezos and Sánchez’s home. The placement reportedly required a permit that the hosts didn’t have. The hedges were ordered to be “removed [just] as dozens of celebs were leaving the party.”
The over-the-top, James Bond-themed event marked Jenner’s 70th birthday. The guest list included Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Mariah Carey, and Adele. Meghan Markle made a rare appearance with Prince Harry, whose outfit set tongues wagging.
Kim Kardashian’s All’s Fair co-stars Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Naomi Watts were also in attendance.
“It was just all about celebrating Kris,” a source told People about the event, explaining that it wasn’t filmed for The Kardashians. “And it was everything you’d expect from Kris: over-the-top, glamorous and full of love from her family. It was obvious that she had the best night.”
