Chinese scavenger donates tonnes of relief supplies to flood victims
A scavenger in China suffering from polio, identified as Hu Lei, donated tonnes of supplies to flood victims in Rongjiang County, according to a report in South China Morning Post. Hu spent 55,000 yuan (US$8,000) of his own money on items including 5,000kg of rice, instant noodles, and water, while his friends contributed an additional 20,000 yuan (US$3,000) worth of goods. The group delivered the aid to the southwestern region in a truck.
