CHIIKAWA ARTIVERSE; Food Expo
From now until 6th September, the “CHIIKAWA ARTIVERSE” Exhibition is being held at K11 Musea and the nearby waterfront. The world of Chiikawa is divided into 4 “Universe” domains, leading visitors to explore the work in-depth.
In the indoor exhibition area on the 6th floor, the highlight is the Original Drawing Universe, which showcases more than 130 reproductions of original drawings and sketches by Nagano, the illustrator who created Chiikawa. Visitors can directly observe the vitality and charm of the characters through the lines. The focus of this exhibition is the world’s first Chiikawa-themed carousel in the outdoor area. Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, other characters and new characters in the movie ride on a horse with their distinctive colours. Situated by the Victoria Harbour, CHIIKAWA-Go-Round creates a Chiikawa fantasy world that’s different day and night.

The annual Computer and Communications Festival will be held from 21st to 24th August at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, in addition to getting a cash voucher raffle card of $10 to $500, if you bring your old computer or old parts, you can bargain with the Trade-in merchant for cash vouchers.
Themed “AI Connect: Let’s Link the Future”, there will be an “AI and Digital Transformation Zone” and interactive experience areas and workshops where you can try out various smart sports and lifestyle tools, as well as forum talks where a Nvidia representative will share the latest developments in AI. -

Food Expo; Civilisation of the Sui & Tang Dynasties Exhibition
The annual Food Expo will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13th to 17th August, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors to provide a one-stop collection of global cuisine. The Gourmet Zone continues to present wines, fine staples, desserts, and fine coffees from around the world. As for the Public Hall, in addition to the $1 products, there are also various specialty snacks and discount products, so you can taste and shop like crazy. In the Star Kitchen, celebrated chefs will demonstrate exquisite dishes using premium ingredients.

Football Summit; International Arts Carnival
Two European powerhouses will face off in Hong Kong. Held at the Kai Tak Stadium on August 7th, the Football Summit will feature German giants Bayern Munich and Premier League elite Aston Villa. Bayern Munich are visiting Hong Kong again since 2007. Holding six Champions League titles, they’ve just won the Bundesliga for the 34th time last season. As for Aston Villa, they’ve beaten Liverpool for fourth in the Premier League and won the Europa League last season.

Wayne McGregor: On The Other Earth; International Arts Carnival
From now until 2 August at Tai Kwun, “Wayne McGregor: On The Other Earth” is the world’s first “post-cinematic choreographic installation”. A 4-meter-high, 8-meter-wide, 360-degree cylindrical LED screen presents 12K panoramic 3D images, turning the dance performance into an immersive viewing experience.
The approximately 1-hour program combines performances of Company Wayne McGregor and Hong Kong Ballet. It combines digital imaging, spatialised sound and A.I. to allow a maximum of 20 audiences each time to connect with the hyperreal dancers, reshaping definitions of movement, form and performance. -

Ani-Com & Games; Football Festival
The annual Ani-Com & Games will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre from 24 to 28 July. It’s a one-stop shop for the latest animation, comics, games, models and more from various brands. One of the highlights is the debut “Dig Dig Island Toy Collectors’ Fair”, which is an assembly of nostalgic classics, personal gems and high-art collectibles, allowing anime and manga fans to exhibit, exchange and trade. The well-received “Elefunpop Art & Toy Show” continues to feature works by trendy designers and artists from worldwide, as well as the latest figures and limited-edition products. Other highlights include the Doujin culture fans’ favourites, the “Creative Paradise” and the “World Doujins Paradise”; the “Anime Cosplay Competition”, the “Asia-Pacific Cosplay Carnival”, the Finals of the “Canvas Project Idol Selection Competition”, the Anime Music Festival which will feature popular Japanese singers and voice actors.
