Between Friends Coffee in Warner Robins spent a decade serving locals and visitors, but after a sale of the business didn’t happen, they’re having to say goodbye.
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A beloved coffee shop in Houston County will soon close its doors.
On Monday, Between Friends Coffee in Warner Robins announced that in less than two weeks, they’ll shut their doors for good.
The owners initially tried to sell the business before closing it, but were unable to do so. As such, the business was forced to close.
“We want to share an important update with our Between Friends Coffee family,” they wrote on Facebook. “The sale of the business will not be moving forward. While this was not the outcome we anticipated, we are incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and friendships this community has given us throughout the years.”
The coffee shop had been open since 2016, serving customers for around a decade.
The shop itself, located off Highway 96, was known for its drinks, pastries and literary theme, having books across the shop. They also had pages and covers of various books across several genres used as table decorations.
The shop said they’ll be open until Saturday, June 13, their final day serving guests.
They said that they’ll also hold a liquidation sale on Monday, June 15, offering all of their uniquely decorated tables, chairs, decorations, equipment and more. They said they’ll provide further information on the sale at a later date.
“If you have ever admired a piece of our café or dreamed of owning equipment for your own business, this will be your opportunity to take home a part of Between Friends Coffee,” they wrote.
While their time brewing coffee comes to an end soon, they hope guests join them before their final day of operation.
“We hope you will stop by before June 13 to enjoy your favorite meal, drink, and memories with us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives,” they wrote. “The friendships made here will always mean more than we can express.”
