Twin Peaks & The OA Star Owain Rhys Davies Dies

Owain Rhys Davies, known for his roles in Twin Peaks: The Return and The OA, has died at the age of 44. The actor’s brother announced the news in a lengthy Instagram post. Davies also appeared in projects including Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Indian Doctor, and A Serial Killer’s Guide to Life.

Owain Rhys Davies, best known for portraying Agent Wilson in Twin Peaks: The Return, died at the age of 44. Davies also appeared in series including The OA and The Indian Doctor.

The actor’s brother, Rhodri Davies, shared the news in a lengthy post on Instagram. “It is with profound sadness that my father and I share the news that my brother, Owain, has passed away,” wrote Rhodri alongside a photo of Owain.

“This news will come as a great shock to many. While there are still questions that remain unanswered regarding the circumstances of his death, our understanding at this stage is that Owain passed suddenly, naturally, and peacefully,” he added, noting that the exact cause of death is not yet known. “Owain was fortunate enough to have more than one family. Alongside his biological one, he built extraordinary, family-like bonds with many of his closest friends, colleagues, and loved ones. I am incredibly proud that, while he was my brother,” he added.

“The reach of Owain’s love, friendship, and generosity was vast. The outpouring of messages we have received over the past few days has been deeply moving and a testament to the impact he had on so many lives,” the post continued. “Thank you for your kindness, your messages, and for keeping Owain in your thoughts,” Rhodri concluded in the message.

In the post, Rhodri also said he would share additional information about Owain’s death if it became available. He also requested privacy for the family during this time.
