The Simpsons fans are in for a treat as an exclusive episode premieres on Disney+ today. The brand-new episode will be available exclusively to Disney+ subscribers.

The Disney+ exclusive episode of The Simpsons is titled Simpsley. It is a film-noir parody that reimagines the characters of the hit animated show in a psychological thriller inspired by The Talented Mr. Ripley. The episode fully commits to the noir genre and utilizes a monochromatic aesthetic, mimicking the visual style of the Ripley series and classic film noir. The episode draws inspiration from Netflix’s 2024 adaptation, Ripley.
Given that it’s a Disney+ exclusive, Simpsley is not bound by standard broadcast constraints, giving room for a more cinematic narrative. The episode is written by Cesar Mazariegos and directed by Debbie Mahan. Core voice cast members of The Simpsons, including Julie Kavner (Marge), Dan Castellaneta (Homer), and Harry Shearer (Skinner), will be reprising their roles.
The Simpsons: Simpsley serves as the middle chapter of a summer trilogy of Disney+ specials. It comes after the exclusive double-episode, Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition, which premiered on June 17, 2026. It will be followed by Yellow Mirror, which is scheduled to premiere on August 26, 2026. These specials will not be available on Hulu or via traditional Fox broadcast.
The official synopsis of The Simpsons: Simpsley reads, “When penniless con-artist Marge Bouvier is sent to Italy to convince wealthy sap Seymour Skinner to come home, she’s tempted by the trappings of his affluent lifestyle. But there’s a big fat fly in the ointment: Skinner’s clingy, dim-witted mooch of a houseguest, Homer Simpsley. Lies, lust, and Italian lira abound in this Disney+ exclusive Simpsons noir.”
