The humble wardrobe staple has remained at the forefront of fashion for decades – just think of Cindy Crawford’s iconic 1992 Pepsi commercial, Kate Moss’s baby white tank, and, most recently, the affordable white tank Kendall Jenner wore to a Knicks game. So, why is it still so hard to find a good one?
There’s no shortage of options out there, ranging from affordable multi-packs to four-figure designer goods. Yet, somehow, we all seem to be searching for some elusive “perfect white tank.” As a self-proclaimed basics snob, I’ve wear-tested dozens of different brands and I’m sharing a shortlist of my five favourite white tank tops.
What’s my secret to wearing and styling white tanks? Owning more than one. Having a variety of different necklines and hem lengths on hand can infinitely expand your outfit options, which is why I included a range of styles.
