The first official Rogue Trooper trailer is out, previewing the upcoming animated military sci-fi movie based on an iconic comic strip. Rogue Trooper has no official release date as of yet.
“Rogue Trooper tells the story of 19, a ‘Genetic Infantryman,’ who finds himself the sole-survivor of an invasion force. Desperate to track down the traitor who sold him and his comrades out, the super soldier is accompanied by three killed-in-action squad mates, whose personalities have been stored in his gun, helmet and rucksack,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Rogue Trooper trailer?
The trailer doesn’t really give away too much, it’s a quick clip of 19 turning and running from an explosion before diving off of a platform. The trailer then promises that we will see or know more “soon-ish.”
Rogue Trooper will be based on the comic strip of the same name that originated in 2000 AD and was created by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons. 2000 AD was a British weekly science-fiction oriented comic magazine, that is also known for producing the infamous Judge Dredd series as well as Rogue Trooper.
The movie adaptation of Rogue Trooper will be written and directed by Duncan Jones and star Hayley Atwell, Aneurin Barnard, Sean Bean, Matt Berry, Asa Butterfield, Jemaine Clement, Jack Lowden, Alice Lowe, Daryl McCormack, Diane Morgan, and Reece Shearsmith.
