A favorite GOT villain has been cast alongside Peter Mullan for a new movie. Titled Mountain, the movie tells a coming-of-age story set in the 1980s.

Celyn Jones’ new film Mountain brings together Peter Mullan, Iwan Rheon, and more

Directed by Celyn Jones, Mountain is currently in production, and three new cast members have been revealed. This includes Mullan alongside Iwan Rheon and Rebecca Lucy Taylor.

The upcoming movie is set in 1980s Wales and follows a young and neglected boy named GG as he searches for friendship and a sense of belonging. He comes across Bill, who lives in isolation on a mountain. They form a “brief yet enduring connection, proving that even though the world can appear cruel, life is inherently good and will find a way to survive,” as said in the logline.

According to Variety, Jones stated, “I’m honoured to bring a world class team, on both sides of the camera, to my home town of Holyhead on Anglesey. Despite being a fiction, this feels a deeply personal film for me, with emotional themes and humour that many can relate to.”

Mullan is known for his roles in Ozark, The Vanishing, Top of the Lake, The Magdalene Sisters, I Swear, Neds, and Young Adam.

Other cast members include Seth Isaac Thomas, who will play GG. Apart from the four, no additional cast information has been released. The movie began its production in Anglesey at the end of June and does not have an official release date.
