Samsung has released a new update for the Wallpapers and Style app for Galaxy devices on One UI 9. While the release notes do not mention anything, this update could address an annoying issue affecting some One UI 9 Beta users running. Many users have been complaining about issues with the Adaptive Clock.
Samsung’s Wallpapers and Style app update could fix Adaptive Clock issues
Adaptive Clock is one of the many personalization features in Samsung’s One UI software. It can automatically adjust the appearance and positioning of the lock screen clock based on the selected wallpaper. However, some users testing One UI 9 have reported that the feature wasn’t working properly. The clock could fail to adapt as expected, leaving users with an incorrect or unchanged clock layout on the lock screen.
The latest update for Samsung’s Wallpapers and Style app could fix the problem. As spotted by X user Tarun Vats, the app recently received a new update through the Galaxy Store. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything, the company may have optimized the app for enhanced compatibility with One UI 9.

If you have noticed issues with your lock screen clock, you may want to install this update right away. To check for updates, open the Galaxy Store, head to Menu (three horizontal lines), and select Updates. Since the rollout began recently, it could take a while for the update to reach all eligible Galaxy devices. If no new version of Wallpapers and Style is available for you, wait a few days and check again.
One UI 9 is currently being tested across several Galaxy devices (only the S26 lineup has received the final update so far), and Samsung has been releasing regular beta updates to address bugs reported by testers. Expect more app updates as the company continues polishing the Android 17-based software.
