Carmen Electra says Baywatch reboot cast should ‘always be ready’
Carmen Electra, who appeared on Baywatch for eight seasons, recently discussed the possibility of returning to the franchise. She also shared advice for the next generation of actors set to appear in the reboot.
Electra spoke about Baywatch during a conversation with E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the June 3 premiere of Scary Movie 6. The actress makes a cameo appearance in the parody film.
“You never know,” she said when asked whether there was a chance she would return for the Baywatch reboot. “I mean, Scary Movie, possibly Baywatch.”
Meanwhile, she also offered some practical advice for the reboot’s cast. “It’s a lot of hard work,” she said. “So, you just want to be in tip-top shape before you step out there, period. And work on your swimming techniques. Because it’s hard. It’s not an easy job.”
Electra added that she trained under the guidance of a real-life lifeguard who worked with the cast. “He was like, ‘You’ve got to do everything,’” she recalled. “He was really tough on us. So, I’m hoping they’re not as tough on them, but I have a feeling they are.”
However, despite the challenges involved in making the series, Electra said she has fond memories of her time on Baywatch.
Additionally, during the same interview, Electra spoke positively about her experience working on the Scary Movie franchise.
