Levi Randolph hosts sixth annual celebrity classic

MADISON, Ala. (WAFF) – Former Bob Jones and Alabama basketball player, Levi Randolph hosted the sixth annual celebrity classic.

“I just want to be able to give back to the community,” Randolph said. “Bring a lot of my friends that people may see on TV or Instagram to the community, so I can see them firsthand, up close and in person.”

Randolph hosted his annual basketball camp Saturday, where young athletes learned from multiple former North Alabama basketball players.

On Sunday, those basketball stars were playing in the celebrity classic.

All the of the celebrity athletes played in college and most went on to play professionally.

Some of the former North Alabama athletes included, Trevor Lacey, Giddy Potts, Herb Jones and Denver Jones.

“There’s a lot of talent in the area,” Randolph said. “I think we’re underrated. We’re underdogs in basketball. A lot of people think about football when they think about the state. Which are really good at football too, but it just shows what type of athletes we have in the community.”
