MCU fans are bracing for some exciting Avengers and X-Men news. Kevin Feige himself has upped the ante with the San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner.
2026 calendar is loaded for MCU fans with Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday releasing within a few months’ gap. Yet, fans want more from their favorite superhero franchise. Thankfully, the Marvel boss did not disappoint.
In a recent interaction with Collider, Feige was asked about his plans for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. While he didn’t spill all the beans, he surely teased some big surprises waiting for fans.
Feige stated, “Listen, you probably know as good a tease as I do in terms of the fact that when we go to Hall H, it’s for a reason, and it’s to have some surprises and show a few things. It’s our home away from home, Hall H, so I’m very excited to be heading back.” This was enough to get fans excited about what might unfold at the San Diego Comic-Con.
They started speculating if Marvel would announce the Secret Wars cast or drop any additional Avengers: Doomsday updates. Likewise, they speculated whether the surprises teased by Feige had anything to do with the X-Men cast. @semmutalindwa said, “More doomsday cast reveals and secret wars initial casting confirmation.” @SchwayJohn stated, “Oh we’re gonna X-Men casting as soon as Hall H bro.” @the_real_ashik speculated, “Are we finally getting the full X-Men cast reveal?”
Fans have their reasons to be excited. Historically, Marvel has dropped some important announcements at the San Diego Comic-Con. One of the most recent ones included the unveiling of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom back in 2024. At the same event, Feige and co. also confirmed the return of Anthony and Joe Russo to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
