12 Weapons Stolen From High-security Secunderabad Cantonment: CCTV Off; 4 Held Including Agniveers
A major security breach has been reported at the high-security Secunderabad Cantonment near Hyderabad. Twelve weapons, including four AK-203 assault rifles, an INSAS rifle and pistols, along with around 7,000 rounds of ammunition and night-vision binoculars, were allegedly stolen from an Army storage facility. Four people, including Agniveers and civilian staff, have reportedly been detained. Investigators are examining broken locks, access records, weapon accounting and an alleged CCTV shutdown at night. The stolen service weapons have reportedly been smuggled out, while authorities continue efforts to establish who was behind the theft and whether the weapons have been recovered.
