Jeff Bezos’ Ex-Wife Makes Surprising Career Comeback 7 Years After Controversial Divorce

Jeff Bezos and MacKenzie Scott’s divorce in 2019 is one of the most scrutinized celebrity divorces. Following the divorce, Scott moved away from the public eye, taking a hiatus from her writing career. But now she has returned with a new 80,000-word novel.

The project differs from traditional book publishing, following a dystopian plot while allowing readers to follow her writing in real time. The bibliophiles are ecstatic and have expressed their excitement on social media.

MacKenzie Scott Announces New Dystopian Novel

On August 8, MacKenzie Scott posted on Instagram, sharing a picture of her latest novel titled Last Days in Two Nations. She urged her followers to subscribe to herSubstack, which currently features the novel’s title, prologue and chapter-by-chapter updates that subscribers can read for free.

According to the New York Post, the novel focuses on a dystopian world ruled by two leaders: President Priss, who fantasizes about getting “serviced” in the White House and a s**-crazed South African surgeon. The report stated, “The book assembles multiple perspectives on a fascist partial takeover of the US — while shoehorning her left-wing social commentary at every turn.”

Despite the unconventional publishing style, readers are finding the novel interesting and are hooked by its unforeseen twists and turns. Fans can expect consistent posting of the novel, as she has shared a release schedule, outlining when each chapter will be posted.

Unlike her previous works, such as The Testing of Luther Albright and Traps, Last Days in Two Nations not only showcases a self-published effort but also features a more raw and unfiltered version of the author. Although she does not publicly share her political views, her work has prompted readers to draw their own conclusions.

According to TMZ, she has donated a total of $1.7 billion to charity, including LGBTQ+ causes, The Trevor Project and environmental organizations such as the Ocean Resilience & Climate Alliance. Likewise, people have greatly admired her actions and are praising her for her constant effort to make the world a better place.
