Inside The 'KPop Demon Hunter's; Pop-up Taking Over Hong Kong

Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters has taken the world by storm, and now it’s coming to Hong Kong with an official pop-up experience!

Following the previously announced Singapore stop, the Hong Kong pop-up is scheduled to run from December 18, 2025, to January 11, 2026. The pop-up is taking place at L1 West Wing, New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, with opening hours roughly 11:00 am to 9:00 pm (HKT).

The Hong Kong pop-up is part of a larger Asia tour that kicked off in Seoul on December 4 and includes other stops such as Hong Kong (Dec 22–Jan 11), Bangkok (Dec 24–Jan 15), Tokyo (Dec 26–Jan 11), and Taipei (Jan 3–Jan 18).

All about the KPop Demon Hunters pop-up in Hong Kong

Specific details about ticketing, entry procedures, and special events at the Hong Kong location are still emerging. Fans familiar with the Seoul version can expect similar fan-centric attractions. In Seoul, visitors enjoyed official merchandise like apparel, mini-CD key rings, posters, photo books, and plush toys. These included popular characters such as Derpy and Sussie.

There are usually multiple themed zones. Each one features imagery and settings inspired by fan-favourite groups like HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys.

Expect plenty of Instagrammable moments, immersive installations, and chances to take photos with backdrops and characters from the animated movie. Completing interactive missions at the event often unlocks themed rewards like special balloons or other memorabilia.

The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon

The animated movie has become one of Netflix’s biggest hits of the year since its release, breaking global viewing records and leading music charts with tracks like “Golden.” It has received widespread acclaim and multiple award nominations, including Grammy consideration for its soundtrack and songs.

Its massive popularity has also fueled collaborations with several brands for merchandise. It has also inspired events like this pop-up. Together, these bring the film’s vivid K-pop-meets-supernatural world to life for fans across Asia.

A sequel is already in the pipeline for 2029, with Netflix reportedly giving Sony Pictures a USD 15 million (approximately INR 1,359 million) bonus for the first movie. The film has also spawned several collaborations with brands such as Hasbro, Mattel, Nongshim, Funko Pop and Samsung, and even has a dedicated section in Seoul’s Everland theme park open till December 31.
