Alexander Bublik beat Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets to win the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open on Sunday.
Bublik, who will enter the world’s top 10 for the first time following his triumphant Hong Kong debut, battled to a 7-6, 6-3 victory in an hour and 38 minutes at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium.
The Kazakh has now won five of his nine ATP Tour titles since June last year.
For Musetti, the wait to add to his two career crowns goes on after a seventh straight final defeat since he claimed the Tennis Napoli Cup 1,176 days ago in October 2022.
A serve-dominated opening set featured one spurned break opportunity for each player, Bublik missing his chance in an 11th game that featured three deuces.

Bublik delivered an exhibition of classic tiebreak tennis to clinch the set, going 2-1 down before firing off six straight points.
