Guy Bradley has assumed the role of chairman of Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific Airways and Swire Coca-Cola, succeeding Patrick Healy, who will retire from the group after more than three decades of service.
Bradley, 60, is also chairman of Swire Pacific, John Swire & Sons (H.K.) and Swire Properties. He was appointed chairman of the conglomerate’s airline and bottling operations last December.
He previously said that, as chair of the Cathay Group, he would focus on enhancing the company’s overall performance and strengthening Hong Kong’s status as a leading international aviation hub.
Bradley, currently a non-executive director of Cathay, formally assumed the roles of executive director and board chairman following the company’s annual general meeting on Wednesday.
As part of the leadership transition, Healy stepped down as executive director of Swire Pacific, chairman of Cathay Pacific and Swire Coca-Cola, and director of John Swire & Sons. He will retire from the group later this month.
Healy, who joined the Swire Group in 1988, had served as chairman and executive director of Cathay since 2019 and held various roles across its aviation, beverages and industrial divisions in Hong Kong, mainland China and Germany.
