Instead of the devices getting lost in a sea of new devices at IFA 2026 in Berlin, which takes place from 4 September, Google will give Googlebooks the spotlight they deserve.
We assume every single first-wave Googlebook will be unveiled at the event. These will come from the likes of Dell, Acer, Asus, HP and Lenovo as Google isn’t making its own.

The agenda for the Googlebook launch event will include a keynote speech by a senior Google leader. The event will properly announce the firm’s new laptop operating system, which is a hybrid of Chrome OS and Android.
Attendees will also be able to try out the new devices at OEM demo stations. There should be eight devices, mostly traditional clamshell laptops and one tablet and come with Gemini at the core along with features such as a Glowbar on the lid.
We hope for a lot more at the event, such as prices and release dates for the range of Googlebooks. If you’re as interested as we are, mark 15 September on your calendar and keep an eye out for a live stream.
