Glenn Howerton, Rosario Dawson and other celebrities have been spotted at several businesses around the Magic City in recent days.
Bham Now previously reported on the production of “The Girlfriend” in Birmingham’s Forest Park neighborhood. Since then, filming has wrapped and some of the cast members spent their last few days in town enjoying the night life.
Several cast members were reportedly spotted at Mom’s Basement in Avondale, including:
- Howerton, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”
- Dawson, “Ahsoka”
- Lamorne Morris, “New Girl”
- Edi Paterson, “The Righteous Gemstones”
Howerton also made a stop at Cahaba Brewing Co. in Avondale.
Howerton’s connection to Alabama doesn’t begin and end here — the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star lived in Montgomery from age 10 to the time he graduated from Jefferson Davis High School.
While we may not be the next Hollywood, Birmingham has seen its fair share of celebrity visits in recent years. From the stars of upcoming film “The Girlfriend” to Matthew McConaughey and Kurt Russel filming in Birmingham in 2023 and award-winning film “Gunner” also filmed here in 2023, Birmingham is building quite the major motion picture portfolio.
