General Hospital Star Kirsten Storms Breaks Silence on Maxie’s Future

Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie on General Hospital, recently took to social media to share a personal and professional update. She openly addressed the apartment break-in situation while also revealing her brain aneurysm diagnosis. Moreover, she updated fans on her return to the show while stressing that her daughter remains her top priority.

Storms took to Instagram to share a lengthy post, providing an update on her personal life and on the possibility of returning to GH. In the post, she first addressed the ongoing reports about her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, having filed a restraining order against her. He alleged that he worried about their daughter’s safety, claiming Storms displayed concerning behavior.

Additionally, he questioned the authenticity of Storms’ claims about break-ins at her apartment. However, she clarified that she did not fabricate her claims and that she reported the incident to the building and to Franklin PD before Barash filed anything in court.

As for her absence from social media, Storms explained that she stayed away because others twisted the situation into something it shouldn’t be, making it a serious thing for her to go through. Nevertheless, she expressed comfort in remaining in Tennessee while thanking fans for their support.

As for whether she will return to GH, she added, “As for what is in my future, where GH is concerned…. Given what’s been going on, I can’t say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work.” Furthermore, the actress regards the latest happenings as “an eye-opening experience about the downside of my profession.” Ultimately, she stated that her daughter comes first, always.

Storms initially began playing Maxie in 2005. She last appeared on the show in mid-March and hasn’t returned to the role since.
