General Hospital Fans Give Verdict on Britt’s Most Controversial Decision

On General Hospital, few storylines have ignited as much debate as Britt Westbourne’s decision involving Rocco Falconeri. The uproar centers on Lulu Spencer’s brash attitude and whether Britt should have any role in her son’s life. Once Lulu Spencer’s OB-GYN, Britt, played by Kelly Thiebaud, stole her and Dante Falconeri’s embryo years ago, implanted it herself, and passed Rocco off as her own son for months.

General Hospital fans back Britt’s decision to steal Rocco’s embryo

Many General Hospital fans have defended Britt’s choice to steal the embryo that became Rocco, viewing it as a desperate act born from grief and longing for motherhood.

Britt Westbourne carried the baby to term, delivered him, and raised him for seven months. Once the truth surfaced, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (then Emme Rylan) reclaimed their son, originally named Ben, and renamed him Rocco.

Now a teen, Finn Carr’s Rocco has chosen to pursue a relationship with the woman who carried him, a decision that’s left his parents deeply uneasy. In a recent episode, Lulu confronted Britt after Rocco shot WSB director Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to save Britt and Jason (Steve Burton). Jason took the blame and is now in an international prison, while Britt and his parents work to keep Rocco’s involvement hidden from Cullum.

Fans, however, aren’t holding back about Lulu’s bitter reaction to Rocco wanting to know the woman who gave birth to him. A post on General Hospital’s Facebook fan page read, “Lulu is a coward. Sometimes showing you’re a better person makes a difference.” The fan reasoned that given Rocco’s love for Britt, respecting his feelings costs nothing. They don’t need to be friends, but blatant disrespect won’t help Lulu’s connection with Rocco.

Other fans echoed his sentiment, with one writing, “Rocco probably wishes Britt was his real mom instead of Lulu. Lulu needs to get over herself.” “I’m scared to watch this week’s episodes. Sounds like Lulu is going to put me over the edge,” quipped another. “Lulu and Dante need to calm down some,” read a fan comment. “I agree but it has to hurt Lulu a lot,” noted a viewer.
