CMC Markets sees two-day 53% share price spike following trading update, Everton deal. Shares of UK online broker CMC Markets (LON:CMCX) have seen a meteoric rise totaling more than 50% over the two day span since the company gave a fairly rosy trading update early Wednesday. The good-results-news coincided with another important announcement from CMC Markets, that it had signed a multi-year deal to become front-of-shirt sponsor for EPL club Everton FC.

Netrios and Red Acre fined $2.5M for white-label CFDs offered in the US. US derivatives markets regulator The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced an order filing and settling charges against Netrios LP Ltd. and Red Acre Ltd., for facilitating illegal off-exchange leveraged or margined retail commodity transactions involving US customers who were not eligible contract participants. Netrios and Red Acre are part of the Deus X Capital group, which also operates the FunderPro prop trading firm, trading platform provider TradeLocker, and newly-launched offshore CFDs broker NextTrade.

GTN UK setup leads to $3.3 million loss in 2025. Following our FNG Exclusive report from last year that Dubai based, institutional focused multi-asset broker GTN was planning to offer service in the UK and Europe after receiving an FCA license for GTN Europe Financial Services Limited, the company has filed its 2025 financial statements with more details about the launch. In 2024 and 2025 combined GTN UK has totaled losses of $4.2 million.

FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Alex Wijaya, Director APAC for Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker Blueberry, has left the company, along with two other Blueberry executives, to form a new CFDs brand called Arx Markets (at arxmarkets.com). Arx Markets will be acting as an Introducing Broker to Blueberry rival Axi, via Axi’s St Vincent & the Grenadines offshore entity AxiTrader Ltd.

ESMA reminds regulators that prediction market event contracts are really banned binary options. Pan European financial regulatory body ESMA has issued a statement reminding national EU regulators of their obligation to assess whether newly offered products fall within the scope of existing product intervention measures on binary options.
