California-based home equipment company Flair Espresso launched two new products at the recent World of Coffee San Diego trade show: the eWizard standalone electric milk steamer and the Flair 49 Pro manual espresso maker.

Part of a flurry of home-focused equipment debuting at the show, both products are designed to push existing Flair platforms toward greater convenience and advanced performance.

Flair eWizard

The Flair eWizard builds upon the original Flair Wizard stovetop steamer that launched in March 2025, with new features that could prove handy in light or mobile commercial setups.

With the same 700-milliliter boiler body, knob-controlled cool-touch articulating steam wand and top-mounted pressure gauge, the new version is heated by an integrated electric heating element and includes a pressurestat for automatic self-regulation.

Free from dependence on an external heat source, the eWizard can be positioned anywhere on a kitchen or commercial coffee counter while maintaining stable pressure between uses without constant monitoring, according to the company.

In a home milk-frother market crowded with handheld wands and pushbutton pitchers, the eWizard offers a more barista-style manual experience. For professionals, it offers a conventional steaming experience independent of an espresso machine, with no plumbing required.

“Once it comes up to temperature, that temperature is internally regulated with a mechanical system that makes sure that it stays at a consistent steaming pressure so that you can steam back-to-back shots, no problem,” Jeff Walcott, head of e-commerce and marketing for Flair Espresso, told Daily Coffee News. “There’s not a lot of loss in the system, and as soon as you’re finished steaming, it’ll bring it right back up and there’s really no loss of time.”

Capable of frothing a half a gallon of milk per fill, the plug-in eWizard runs on 110-volt power and sells for $325 via Flair’s website. For safety, the device includes an overpressure release valve as well as a float switch that protects the heating element as the internal water level descends.

Each unit ships with two steam wand tips, including a restrictive single-hole tip and a professional-style 3-hole tip.

“We definitely designed it to be commercial-capable but home-use ready,” Walcott said. “If you want more of a restricted type of experience, or for beginners, they can use the one-hole tip, but experienced baristas can just slot in.”

Flair 49 Pro

The electronics-free Flair 49 Pro lands as the new flagship of Flair’s Pro series.

It adds an all-stainless-steel brew path and replaces the original design’s 46-millimeter portafilter system with a slightly larger 49-millimeter system that opens the door to compatibility with third-party tools and accessories.

“You still get the same benefits as you would with a restricted-diameter portafilter: It’s a little bit deeper; you’re going to get more contact time; it’s probably going to be a little bit of an easier dial-in,” Walcott said. “The 46-millimeter unit was proprietary to us… We’ve increased it to 49 to take advantage of extra accessories. There’s more things to play with.”
