Fitia App Specs
Our Experience With Fitia App
Fitia is an AI-powered nutrition tracking app that has four ways to input your meals: photo, barcode scan, speak-to-track, and type-to-track. Our team thinks the Fitia app is a great way for busy professionals to stay on top of your preferred way of eating and nutrition goals. It has customized meal plans and progress-tracking features, too. Fitia also syncs with tons of devices, such as Apple Health, Oura Ring, Whoop, Strava, Fitbit, and more.
Paige tested Fitia, using the app for five days. She was able to adhere to the program pretty closely. Paige logged food, exercise, steps, and her water intake.
What We Liked
Here’s what Paige rated highly after trying Fitia:
- Instructions (5 out of 5): Paige found the instructions easy to understand and thinks they’d be easily understood by everyone, regardless of nutrition or fitness background knowledge or skills. “The Fitia chat coach is very informative on any questions you may have regarding nutrition or fitness and weight loss. The program is pretty customizable based off of the options I chose while setting the app up; you can really cater to your goals and preferences!”
- Safety (5 out of 5): “This app promotes and encourages healthy eating habits without shaming or being too forceful,” Paige said. “Fitia simply gives recommendations on how to achieve your goals. There are options to add weights, progress pictures, and calories, but there is no requirement to regularly record. The app does encourage you to start logging calories starting with your first meal,” she said.
- User interface (5 out of 5): Fitia uses an AI photo meal tracker, which Paige says easily documents meals while giving accurate calories and macros. “This is much easier than manually inputting ingredients and meals. I was able to track calories, protein, carbs, and fats to make sure I was on track with my goals. I found all of these helpful. There is also a tab for micronutrients which I personally don’t care too much for, but other users may find it helpful to make sure they are getting enough vitamins and minerals. This app easily connects with Apple Health which can be used across several devices.
- Experience (4 out of 5): “I would rate my overall experience with the app as great, there are several different ways to interact with the app and it is very user friendly and gives good data,” Paige said.

What We Would Change
Here’s what Paige would improve about Fitia:
- Value: While there is a free version of the app, the premium (full) version of the app costs $19.99 per month as of this writing, or $89.99 for an annual family plan. With only AI coaching available, the lack of human coaching or oversight (compared to Noom or Nourish) makes us think it’s worth a little bit less than what the brand is charging.
Who It’s For & Who It’s Not For
The Fitia app may be a good fit for:
- Busy folks who want a simple, user-friendly calorie tracking app
- People who want to take a quick photo rather than manually input meal components into the app
- Data-driven professionals who want to track both macros and micronutrients
- Households who want to share the app via a family plan
- Professionals who already track their health using a wearable and want to add in nutrition data
The Fitia app may not be ideal for:
- People who want more hands-on, human-led nutrition coaching
- Budget-conscious shoppers who want a free app for nutrition tracking
- Anyone skeptical of AI-driven nutrition guidance
Why Calorie Counting Apps Matter to Professionals
Nutrition tracking can be hard to keep up with when you’re a busy professional at any stage of your career. AI-powered nutrition apps allow you to log using meal photos, voice, or scanning a barcode on product packaging.
This can vastly reduce the amount of time you spend tracking or remembering what you’ve had to eat that day. Food tracking apps like Fitia also sync with Apple Health, Strava, and the Oura Ring (among many more), which makes it easy to access all your performance data in one place.

Comparing Fitia App to Other Products
Fortune’s Final Thoughts
Our tester Paige gave Fitia high marks across the board, especially when it came to instructions, safety, and user interface, which all earned 5 out of 5. She liked the AI photo meal tracker, which she found easier than manually entering components of her meal. The app’s recommendation-based approach to healthy eating and tracking make it a strong option for anyone who is comfortable with AI-led nutrition.
The price of Fitia is similar to programs like Noom, which do include human coaching and more education within the app. If you want to browse other options, our best calorie counter apps and best nutrition apps guides cover a range of alternatives, and if human accountability is non-negotiable for you, our best weight loss programs roundup highlights options built around that kind of support.
If you’re tech savvy and want simple nutrition tracking without assistance, we think Fitia is a solid choice. Just be aware that you’ll be paying for the convenience of an AI-powered tool rather than guidance from a coach.
