FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that two former senior managers who ran the eFX business for market maker Citadel Securities are now preparing to launch a new online brokerage called Epic Markets. Epic Markets is being set up by New York based executives Kevin Kimmel and Bryan Seegers.
Epic plans to launch with a presence in both the US and the UAE. The company has indicated that it plans to offer a multi asset brokerage platform, grounded in institutional grade execution standards and engineered to bring elite execution performance to retail traders.
Ahead of its planned launch later this year, and as the company completes regulatory license applications, Epic Markets has closed a $10 million pre-seed round of funding, from London-based hedge fund and venture capital investor Karatage.

Kevin Kimmel was Global Head of eFX at Citadel for more than 10 years, before leaving Citadel last year. He has also previously held senior roles at JP Morgan, YellowJacket (acquired by ICE), and TradeWeb.
Kevin will serve as CEO of Epic Markets.
Bryan Seegers worked as Director – FX Business Development at Citadel from 2019-2025. Prior to Citadel, Bryan was Senior Vice President eFX at investment bank Jefferies, responsible for Global eFX Trading, Algo Execution and Liquidity Management. Bryan has also previously worked at Retail FX and CFD brokers ADSS in Abu Dhabi (where he was Co-Head Global eFX), Alpari, and MultiBank. Bryan will serve as Epic’s Chief Commercial Officer.
