No.11 opened at 16.75 an initially edged higher, extending the previous session’s strength to reach the day’s high of 16.85 early in the morning. That rally quickly lost momentum, however, and the market started to drift lower as the session progressed. After the early peak, prices moved into a period of uneven consolidation before steady selling pressure gradually weighed on the market through late morning and into midday. Several attempts to stabilise or recover proved limited, with rallies failing to generate sustained follow-through. The decline accelerated at times during the afternoon, eventually pushing the market to its session low of 16.50 in the late afternoon. Support emerged around those lower levels, allowing prices to recover modestly and trade in a narrower range into the close. Even so, the rebound remained limited, with the market ending at 16.60 after spending most of the session unwinding the gains established during the opening hours. Volume traded was 74k lots.

No.5 opened at 517.90 and initially pushed higher, extending the previous session’s strength and reaching the day’s high of 519.80 during early trading. The rally proved short-lived, however, with prices quickly reversing lower as selling pressure emerged from the highs, potentially encouraged by some profit-taking or potential producer pricing at the higher levels. Through the remainder of the morning, the market traded with a softer tone, oscillating around the mid-516s before a more sustained decline developed. Selling intensified into midday and the early afternoon, dragging values steadily lower toward the lower end of the range and eventually down to the session low of 509.10. Support appeared near those lows, preventing a deeper decline, and the market spent much of the late afternoon consolidating in a relatively narrow band. A modest recovery attempt lifted prices back above 511.00 at times, but upside momentum remained limited. The contract ultimately finished at 511.20, well below the early high, reflecting a session characterised by an initial rally followed by a broad and sustained reversal lower.
