Marvel just revealed new looks at four iconic mutants before they potentially shake up Avengers: Doomsday. The studio dropped individual character teasers for Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Storm ahead of their return.

Marvel Studios hypes up the return of Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm in X-Men ’97 Season 2. The studio shared individual character teasers on X ahead of the season’s July 1 premiere on Disney+. Notably, each post confirmed the heroes’ returns with short video clips and the tagline “is back.”
The Cyclops teaser arrived first on June 18 and attracted 470.2K views along with 15K likes.
Meanwhile, Storm’s clip followed on June 22 and pulled in 429.4K views with 10K likes.
Subsequently, Wolverine’s teaser landed on June 23 and garnered 363.4K views alongside 8.9K likes.
Finally, Jean Grey’s post rounded out the campaign on June 24 with 235K views and 6K likes.
Ray Chase voices Cyclops, while Jennifer Hale returns as Jean Grey for the new season. Additionally, Alison Sealy-Smith reprises her role as Storm from the original animated series. Cal Dodd also returns to voice Wolverine, a role he first played in the 1990s show.
The season scatters the X-Men across different eras in time as they battle Apocalypse. Specifically, Cyclops and Jean Grey land in 3960 A.D. with future versions of their children. In contrast, Storm, Wolverine, and Morph start the season in an unknown location and time period. The official synopsis states the team must “struggle to navigate their return home” to the 1990s.
The season premieres with a three-episode drop on July 1 on Disney+. Following that, new episodes will then be released weekly through August 12 for a total of nine episodes. Rotten Tomatoes currently gives Season 2 a perfect 100% critics’ score based on 20 reviews.
