The acclaimed 2024 comedy-drama movie Kneecap has found a new streaming home this month. As of today, the highly rated Irish film starring Michael Fassbender is officially available to stream on Hulu.
What do we know about Kneecap?
2024’s Kneecap is a biographical film about the titular Irish hip-hop trio consisting of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí. They are popularly known for their politically-charged lyrics and advocacy. The ensemble cast included Naoise Ó Cairealláin, Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh, JJ Ó Dochartaigh, Josie Walker, Fionnuala Flaherty, Jessica Reynolds, Adam Best, with Simone Kirby and Fassbender. Since its debut, the film has garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently has a Fresh score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kneecap was written and directed by Rich Peppiatt, who won a BAFTA award in 2025 for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. The film was produced by Trevor Birney and Jack Tarling. The creative team consisted of composer Michael ‘Mikey’ J Asante, director of photography Ryan Kernaghan, production designer Nicola Moroney, and costume designer Zjena Glamocanin, along with editors Chris Gill and Julian Ulrichs.
