Celtic have completed the club-record signing of striker Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt for £11m plus add-ons.
The 25-year-old had been Celtic’s No 1 centre-forward target this summer and has signed a four-year contract, with Celtic holding the option to extend the deal by a further year.
Celtic made an enquiry for Hogh in January but due to Bodo/Glimt’s success in the Champions League he decided to stay on for that run to the last 16, scoring in a famous win at Atletico Madrid that month.
Hogh, who scored 53 goals in 102 appearances for Bodo/Glimt, is the club’s second summer arrival ahead of their Premiership opener against Dundee, live on Sky Sports.
Speaking in his first interview, he said: “I’m so happy. When I came into the room and saw the shirt, I was really excited.
“The history of the club is so big. I spoke with some people and with my family about the club.
“The feeling they had, and the feeling I had in my stomach, was that this was a really good match.”
Describing what Celtic supporters can expect from him, the striker said: “I like to be in the box and score goals, but I also want to help my team-mates defensively and work hard for the team.
“I’ve trained throughout the summer and I’ve already played league games in Norway, so I feel ready. I just want to get started.”

Hogh’s arrival at Celtic follows the sale of Daizen Maeda to newly-promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town.
Maeda scored 79 goals for Celtic and won five Premiership titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups.
The 28-year-old scored for Japan at the World Cup
He struggled for much of last season, but refound his form towards the end of the campaign with nine goals in the last seven matches of the season as the Hoops secured a league and cup double.
After the end of the season, Maeda reiterated his desire to play in England’s top tier.
He joins the Tractor Boys on a three-year deal after scoring for Japan at this summer’s World Cup as they reached the last 32 before losing to Brazil.
