Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Christos Tzolis as the Premier League champions also look to bring in England and Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
Sky Sports News and other UK outlets report Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge for star winger and Greece international Tzolis.
Arsenal are set to pay $65.5million AUD to prise the 24-year-old to London – a record fee for the Belgian Pro League, following Leandro Trossard’s move to Turkish giants Besiktas.
Tzolis, who will head to the Emirates as a replacement for Trossard, scored 17 goals and supplied 23 assists in 36 league appearances for Club Brugge last season.

“He’s able to fulfil different roles,” former Club Brugge assistant coach Hayk Milkon told Sky Sports. “Coming from the left side – giving him this space to start wide and then find the moments to get more inside – that’s where he’s at his strongest.
“If he’s assigned to play really wide to get these one-on-ones, he’s able to do it. But he’s always strongest the closer he is to the goal. Whenever he’s more central, you can expect him at any moment to attack the space.”
It also comes amid Arsenal’s pursuit of Rogers, who is the club’s “top target”, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.
Romano said Arsenal are “accelerating” towards trying to sign the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who scored 14 goals and added 12 assists for Villa last season as they claimed the UEFA Europa League and started England’s FIFA World Cup semi-final loss to Argentina.
