Sanrio established a games publishing label, announced Sanrio Party Land
Hello Kitty’s parent company, Sanrio, has opened a new games publishing label called Snario Games. Its first title will be Sanrio Party Land, a party game launching for Switch and Switch 2 later this year. Sanrio Games intends to release another title this (fiscal) year, and a total of 10 games by March 2029. This move makes sense, as Sanrio has been hiring one company at a time for its games; for example, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is developed and published by Sunblink, whereas Hello Kitty and Friends: Freeze Tag Party is developed by Imagineer and published by Nighthawk Interactive.

Sanrio Games will take a leading role in video game planning and development. Its website explains, “Through self-publishing, Sanrio will strategically design a diverse range of game experiences, from titles featuring a wide variety of characters to games that deeply reflect each character’s unique world, as well as projects across multiple genres. Looking ahead, Sanrio will also explore the creation of new IP originating from games, expanding its IP universe with gaming at its core.”
Sanrio Party Land is set in a town where many Sanrio characters reside. The player creates their own avatar, then plays mini-games and board games with the Sanrio cast. More information is expected at a later date.
Annapurna is bringing five past titles to Switch 2 this year
Annapurna Interactive has announced that five of its previously published titles will launch for Switch 2 in the coming months. The news was announced via its 2026 Switch Lineup Trailer, which also features new games releasing this year. Two of the five titles are available now: Sayonara Wild Hearts and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. Three titles will be released in the next two months: Stray, to a T, and Wanderstop.
I believe Wanderstop‘s Switch 2 launch is the “one last surprise” mentioned in developer Ivy Road’s closure notice, though this hasn’t been confirmed. Since the studio will no longer be around for player support, there is a code to input that opens up a Chapter Select screen: UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, B (RMB), UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, UP, B (RMB), UP, DOWN, UP.
Simogo developed Sayonara Wild Hearts and Lorelai and the Laser Eyes, and both are available now. Developed by BlueTwelve Studio, Stray will be released on May 28. Developed by uvula, to a T will be released on June 11. Developed by Ivy Road, Wanderstop will be released on June 23.
The 7th Guest Remake launches this June
The atmospheric mystery adventure game The 7th Guest is back with its modern remake, The 7th Guest Remake. In the game, six guests are invited to a foreboding mansion where something sinister is at play. Henry Stauf, a wealthy and reclusive toymaker, lurks in the shadows, while a dark power hangs over the houses. Who is the seventh guest, and what does Henry want with them? As players explore the mansion, its puzzles become increasingly challenging. Every shadow, distant creak, and flicker of light builds tension. The house will slowly reveal its secrets.
Here are The 7th Guests’s key features, via Vertigo Games:
- Cinematic Storytelling Through Volumetric Video – Step inside the story. Using cutting-edge, newly recorded volumetric video, live-action performances are captured in full 3D, placing you directly inside Henry Stauf’s mansion at the heart of the mystery. Real actors appear within the world itself, making every encounter feel immediate and unsettling.
- Unique Mind-Bending Puzzle Gameplay – The equally beloved and feared haunted mansion comes alive around you with high-end visuals and carefully redesigned, all-new handcrafted puzzles. Every puzzle is woven into the story and rooted in the mansion’s lore, with recognizable elements that pay homage to the original.
- Dynamic Environments – The haunted mansion shifts and transforms around you through high-end visuals and clever optical illusions. Investigate every creepy nook and cranny. Unlock new rooms, uncover hidden secrets, and keep your wits about you as the horrors within begin to close in.
Developed by Exkee and published by Vertigo Games, The 7th Guest Remake will be released on June 4 for PC via Steam/Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. It will come to Switch 2 and Switch later this year. Players who already own The 7th Guest VR for PS VR2 or PC get the remake at no additional cost. Alternatively, players who buy The 7th Guest Remake for PC and PlayStation 5 will get The 7th Guest VR at no additional cost.
Two Point Museum’s next DLC, Arty-Facts, launches in May
In Two Point Museum, players build museums to attract customers and send staff on expeditions to find new artifacts. Its next DLC will be Arty-Facts, which both makes me laugh and speaks to my heart as an Art History major in university. (Fun fact, I also studied Arts Administration, which would be very helpful in a museum setting.) Arty-Facts allows museum managers to express themselves. Collect and commission art exhibitions and installations in the County. Famous works include Two Point Gothic (American Gothic starring Gubbins), The Persistence of Dairy (Dali’s Persistence of Memory with pizzas replacing clocks), and Box of Truffle Pigs (Andy Warhol’s iconic Monroe work re-imagined with boars). There are also interactive experiences. Create Original Art by selecting a medium and an expert with the right traits.
The Arty-Facts DLC includes:
- A brand-new museum location: Undee Docks
- New expert type: Art Experts
- An unexplored expedition map through Zara’s Sketchbook
- Over 27 Art Exhibits, including Famous Works
- New Gift Shop items
- New themed Cafe items
- Five new Interactive Art displays
- New themed items and decorations
- New Art Studio room to create original art pieces
Developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA, Two Point Museum is available for PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series. The Arty-Facts DLC will be released on May 7 for all platforms except Switch 2, which will launch at a later date.
